Molecular Testing

Molecular diagnostics using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technologies testing are now widely available. Moreover, related advances have reduced the complexity of such molecular tests, making them both more affordable and simple enough to be performed in clinical molecular laboratory settings.
In turn, the adoption of such diagnostics has increased the interaction of laboratories with physicians and their patients. Studies have demonstrated that implementation of molecular tests can significantly improve patient outcomes and decrease overall costs for the patient.
